Bear in mind that a juice and a smoothie are 2 different things. You make a smoothie with a blender, and a juice with a juice extractor. It’s a bit more difficult to blend apples for example, but you can blend pineapples, mangos, cucumbers, melon, etc. Here is another example, you can’t juice a banana, it’s way to soft and you wouldn’t get any juice out of it.

1. Start with a base
- Water
- Coconut water
- Plant milk (unsweetened of course)
- Chilled tea
2. Choose your fruit
- Bananas (the riper the better)
- Berries
- Cherries
- Mango
- Kiwi
- Papaya
- Orange
- Peaches
3. Choose your vegetable
- Spinach
- Kale
- Cucumber
- Courgette
4. Choose boosters & flavourings – in the blender
- Dry spices (cinnamon, ginger, cardamon, turmeric)
- Fresh herbs (parsley, coriander)
- Fresh ginger
- Fresh turmeric
- Seeds (flax seeds, chia seeds)
5. Add a healthy fat (but you don’t have to) – in the blender
- Coconut oil
- Flax oil
6. Make it thicker (again, optional) – in the blender
- Nut butter
- Chia seeds
- Flax seeds
- Rolled oats
- Greek yogurt
- Avocado
7. Add an extra sweetener (optional obviously)
- Medjool dates (or just soft dates)
- Raw honey
- Pure maple syrup
Here is a tip : Add a few ice cubes or frozen fruits (berries for example), it makes the smoothies much creamier!
